Ivy Styled Shoot
A summer wedding in Fayetteville, AR.
About the Shoot
The Inspiration
The Ivy Styled Shoot showcased love in bloom. This modern garden wedding was a celebration of LGBTQ+ love and an opportunity to put the beauty of queer weddings on display. Thoughtfully selected vendors–all of whom keep inclusivity at the heart of their businesses and practices–came together to create this visual love letter to LGBTQ+ love stories with passion in every detail.
The Vibe
Set in a lush, overgrown chapel garden and finished with polished, contemporary touches in the decor and more, everything about this wedding shoot exudes a soft and romantic feeling. The environment is refined and elegant, sophisticated and sweet, delicate and dramatic.
The Attire
Models Michael and Doug leveraged sleek, creative groom attire to fit in perfectly with the shoot's scene. The pair wore coordinating grooms' suits without simply matching. Michael opted for a dark, forest green suit which only served to further reinforce the wedding's garden aesthetic, and he finished the look with a super-smooth white dress shirt and white silk tie combo, brown shoes, and a brown belt. For the finishing touch, he went for an all-white pocket boutonniere blooming out from its tucked-away suit spot. Doug tied in the dark green from Michael's look while switching it up, sporting a dark, charcoal gray suit paired with a green tie for a suave look. Black dress shoes and a black belt gave the look its cool edge, and his own inventive boutonnière didn't hurt either–this time, the white boutonnière took up the length of the suit lapel, with overgrown blooms sweeping down from the arrangement.
The Details
Rustic touches alongside elevated, modern accents plus fun, personality-driven elements brought the whole shoot even more charm. There were gold and brass accent through the chairs and candlestick holders; there was dark, moody decor seen in the place settings, couch, and cushions; and cool, colored glass along with dreamy, drippy candles added to the vibe. Punchy cocktails were bold both in flavor and look. Spicy mules, citrusy sours, and espresso martinis by Southern Sippery gave the event some extra energy. And finally, mini wedding cakes and floral centerpieces on every surface kept the shoot sweet.

Well, we’ll never say no to a bout, but we’ll never EVER say no to a floral pocket square or floral lapel. They allow suit-wearers to enjoy the beauty of flowers even more and make their big day feel that much more special!
