Dylan & Sarah
A fall wedding in Piqua, OH.
About the Wedding
Set against the historic charm of the cosy, historic, estate venue, Dylan and Sarah day brought an explosion of color, music, and joy as they celebrated their bright autumn wedding.
A Ceremony Full of Color and Joy
The couple exchanged vows on the beautiful grounds of the Orrmont Estate, an early 1900s mansion that offered the perfect backdrop the the wedding's vibrant color palette. When Dylan & Sarah said “I do,” the celebration was especially playful and unexpected. Guests blew bubbles as the newlyweds walked back down the aisle for a whimsical, shimmery sendoff that matched the spirit of the entire day.
Mix and Match Bridesmaids
Bridesmaids stood beside Sarah in bright shades of green, pink, and blue. Each bridesmaid dress was different from one another, with velvet, satin, floral print, and crepe all part of the lineup. The dresses stayed within the bright fall color scheme, and the bridesmaids' bold bouquets mirrored those hues and helped connect the whole bridal party.
Bold Groom Style
Before the big day, Dylan visited SuitShop’s Columbus showroom to build a look that felt true to his personal style and the couple’s vision. He chose a striking teal suit paired with a matching vest for a truly standout 3-piece wedding suit that photographed beautifully against the fall backdrop.
His pocket boutonniere added another layer of modern flair, completing a look that struck the perfect balance: distinct, expressive, and coordinated with the wedding party.
Colorful and Cohesive Groomsmen
While Dylan stood out as he should, the groomsmen complemented his look with warm dark brown suits. The groomsmen didn't stay entirely neutral, though. They complimented the brown wedding suits with rust orange ties. The colors helped bring the feeling of the season into the wedding style and added a curated look to the shades and tones of the day. Between the suits and the bridesmaid style, the overflow of color felt reflective of Sarah and Dylan's personality and helped set the tone for the day.
Unforgettable Reception Music
If there was one element that defined the energy of the reception, it was the music. The Cleveland Keys brought the party to life with their signature dueling pianos, turning the evening into a high-energy celebration filled with sing-alongs, laughter, and nonstop entertainment. Guests didn’t just listen—they participated, creating an atmosphere that felt electric from start to finish.
A Dessert Bar to Remember
Baker’s Catering delivered a grand dessert bar that was as impressive visually as it was delicious. Rows of decorated cookies, bars, bonbons, and tartlettes in a range of flavors and colors gave guests the chance to indulge long after dinner, and ensured there was truly something for everyone.
A New Take on a Fall Wedding
Fall weddings are known for vibrant color palettes, and this wedding didn't break from that standard. However, rather than the typical moody, dark jewel tones or earthy neutrals that autumn is known for, Dylan and Sarah opted for a brighter, more saturated version of the palette. Chartreuse, teal, and fuchsia from the bridesmaid dresses, groom suit, and decor popped against the rich dark brown groomsmen suits, which helped bring in a hint of classic fall feeling. From those statement colors to the bubble-filled ceremony exit, lively music, and even the not-so-traditional dessert station, every detail of the day felt intentional, full of fun, and uniquely them. Dylan and Sarah created a celebration that honored their spirit as individuals and a couple and brought their loved ones together for a wedding that their guests won't forget.
