Katie and Brett’s wedding at Abloom Farm in Saukville, Wisconsin was the perfect example of how to have a wedding that feels both carefree and elegant. The couple transformed the wooded venue into a dreamy rustic event filled with unexpected glamour—complete with disco balls, bubble blowers, and even a few (very welcomed) four-legged party crashers.

The Color Palette: Nature-Inspired, With a Twist

The wedding’s design centered around crisp white and vibrant soft lime, bringing a modern, fresh look to the traditionally rustic venue. The wedding party attire, from the bridesmaids to the groom and groomsmen, took that contemporary style up a notch.

The bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in an eclectic mix of patterns, colors, and designs, ranging from soft greens and blues to bold pops of hot pink with florals, ruffles, and solids. This variety created a bright, fun aesthetic that felt effortlessly curated rather than overly coordinated.

The Groom's Style: Elevated Casual

Brett embraced a more laid-back take on wedding suiting. Special enough for the big day while light, and neutral enough to bring a relaxed vibe, he wore a tan SuitShop suit without a tie. The earthy, creamy color meshed perfectly with the woodsy setting.

His unique calla lily boutonniere served as surprisingly whimsical detail. To complete the typical flower on the lapel, a bit of greenery dramatically cascaded down from the boutonniere, adding something playful to his otherwise very clean and simple groom outfit. For the finishing touches on the look, he paired his tan suit with a coordinating tan belt and tan-and-cream loafers, creating a cohesive neutral palette that complemented both the natural surroundings.

His groomsmen matched in tan suits and no tie, but they finished the look with brown suspenders and solid brown dress shoes.
