Please, tell us your engagement story!
After having the conversation that we were ready to get engaged, we actually designed my engagement ring together through Olive Avenue jewelry. Since we designed the ring together, I already knew the proposal was coming, but he still surprised me by doing it the weekend before my birthday when my family was in town to celebrate! It was nice and low-key. It happened in our apartment when we were surrounded by our pets and with the sweetest words. Absolutely perfect!

What made you choose your venue and theme?

We toured quite a few venues but the view at Montfair Resort Farm's ceremony field just took our breath away. We loved that we had the venue for the weekend and that our family and bridal party could stay in the cottages on site! We decided on a boho, vintage, travel/adventure theme since it was very much us. We love to travel and explore the world so we really incorporated that with the suitcases and globes. We even had an around the world dessert bar! We also did lonely planet travel books for our guest book.

We'd love to know more about your experience in working with SuitShop!

I encountered SuitShop on Instagram and had followed them for about 2 years. We really wanted to go the buy versus rent route and I knew they had amazing reviews. Our groomsmen had only great things to say about the process! From ordering to any exchanges, they said everything was smooth and customer service was very helpful. I also really like being able to have a portal where I could send email reminders and choose the outfits!

Any advice for grooms who want to stand out on their wedding day?

We decided to do a copper/burnt orange suit for my husband. It really helped tie everything together! Despite my husband initially being concerned about the very bold color, he really loved it when we got it. Both of our favorite color is orange so it felt very fitting! Don't be afraid to go outside the box and remember that while everyone makes a big deal of what the bride wears, it is just as important for the groom to feel special and good on their wedding day!
